Hard skin & corn removal, nail trimming (fungal and ingrown), mechanical reduction of thick nails, verrucas, diabetic & foot health checks & application of cream to sooth and rehydrate your feet.
At Cheshire Podiatry the general treatment of the feet is an important part of what we do – we believe that prevention is better than the cure.
This is an in-depth examination of the foot which involves checking for sensation of the foot, as well as carrying out a Doppler vascular assessment for circulation within arteries and veins. This examination is necessary to identify conditions of the foot that are at risk of developing ulcers or infections which could lead to serious complications.
Biomechanics is about the way your body moves, in particular for us, how the movements of your lower limb and foot affect the rest of you.
It is important that your feet are in good working order; otherwise you will feel aches and pains in other areas of your body; such as your knees, hips and back, as well as in your feet.
If the cause of pain is reversible, then a treatment plan will be formulated and may involve exercise regimes, footwear advice, insoles/orthoses and if required, an onward referral.
Have you got troublesome nails caused by trauma, poor nail cutting or just generally the way that your nails grow?
A surgical procedure can be carried out using a local anesthetic. This will involve complete removal of the nail or partial removal to the sides of the nail.
A chemical called Phenol is then applied to the area to stop the nail cells from regrowing. This procedure is permanent.
Cosmetic Nail Correction using LCN WILDE PEDIQUE allows a toe nail to be partially or completely restored providing an attractive cosmetic result.
The gel is layered directly onto the nail bed and onto any remaining/present nail so that a brand new nail is created or on top of damaged and misshapen nails so that the visual appearance is more aesthetic.
Wilde Pedique will allow out of shape nails to be disguised or split nails which can be held together whilst it grows out.
The result is a nail that looks normal that can be cut and painted with nail varnish in the same way as a natural nail.
Even children's feet need to be looked after. Spotting the early symptoms of common child deformities/diseases like in-toeing, flat feet, knocked knees or even verruca is essential.
Cheshire Podiatry will make sure your child is seen within the friendly and comfortable clinical setting that will allow them to relax and be assessed whatever their needs, with treatment provided by a knowledgable and experienced Podiatrist.
Fungal nail infection is the most common disease of the nails. Infections can range from mild to severe and can affect one or several nails on both feet and hands.
The Lacuna Method is a treatment for fungal nails that involves drilling micro-holes painlessly into the damaged nails.
This allows an anti-fungal agent to directly reach the infected skin under the nail directly. The patient can then continued to apply the anti-fungal medication once a day, allowing the nail to grow out healthily.
Podiatry Musculoskeletal Podiatry (MSK) is the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a condition affecting the lower limb and foot.
Patients are assessed during standing, sitting and walking. Feet have a huge influence over other parts of the body and their movement.
If the cause of pain is reversible, then a treatment plan will be formulated and may involve exercise regimes, footwear advice, insoles/orthoses and if required, an onward referral.
